MacRoberts was delighted to host the recent ADVOC Europe AGM 2022 in Edinburgh.

From 26 to 29 May, the firm welcomed 80 delegates from ADVOC member firms across Europe, North Africa, the US and Australia, covering 24 legal jurisdictions, to Scotland’s capital city to exchange ideas, reconnect with and meet long-time and new colleagues, and enjoy some traditional Scottish culture.

During the two-day conference, delegates heard presentations from a number of prominent and exciting Scottish organisations, including Macsween, The Scottish Salmon Company, Arbikie Highland Estate and SnapDragon.

MacRoberts’ membership of ADVOC is led by Partner and Chair Euan Duncan, who was re-elected as a Director on the ADVOC Europe Board for a second term at the 2022 AGM.

Guests were also treated to an evening of Scotch Whisky tasting at the Scotch Whisky Experience, dinner and entertainment aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia and a Gala Dinner at the National Museum of Scotland.

MacRoberts is a longstanding and active – and the only Scottish – member of ADVOC, an international network of independent law firms with 93 members in 72 countries worldwide. ADVOC helps clients achieve their international commercial objectives by providing personalised legal solutions.
