Ruby Datum launched in June 2016. Since then, the company has worked with the likes of Herbert Smith Freehills and the administrators of international law firm, King & Wood Mallesons.

Ruby Datum's cloud based software is geared towards law firms. Available as a white label, it fulfils the following two roles.

  1.  A virtual data room, or deal room, for use in corporate or real estate transactions.
  2. To share confidential documents with clients, advisors and third parties.

Benefits include the ability to search inside documents and full access on mobile, tablet or desktop. As a specialist data room provider, Ruby Datum also offer  precise control over access levels, including the ability to specify who can view, print or download documents.

Ruby Datum also helps insolvency practitioners secure and analyse the data of financially distressed businesses. Working with a number of partners, including Ashfords, we are able to provide a complete legal, regulatory and technical solution. The end product helps insolvency practitioners to:

  1. Determine the ownership of assets.
  2. Identify, extract and transfer valuable data.

The administration of King & Wood Mallesons involved Ruby Datum securing and extracting 30 terabytes of data. This was promptly transferred to 24 separate purchasers. By maintaining a continuous presence, we were able to complete this project well ahead of competing estimates and provide a much more comprehensive service.

Ruby Datum can offer ADVOC firms a 10% discount on our data room platform. Our scalable pricing structure caters for one-off projects or repeated use.
