Ireland: JWOD completes sale of two shopping centres
Q1 2023 was a busy time for J. W. O` Donovan’s real estate department which completed the sale of two significant shopping centre schemes within a period of a few weeks.
In February we completed the sale of Douglas Village Shopping Centre in Cork, part of the Shipton Group portfolio. Douglas Village is the second oldest covered shopping centre in Ireland and is anchored by Tesco and includes Marks & Spencer, TK Maxx and Starbucks among its tenants.
This was followed in March by the sale of Fairgreen Shopping Centre, Carlow on behalf of joint receivers Luke Charleton and Andrew Dolliver of EY Parthenon. Tenants in this Centre, which is also anchored by Tesco, include Next, JD Sports, New Look and Holland & Barrett.
The JWOD team on these transactions was led by Managing Partner Jerome O` Sullivan and it included Ciara McDonnell (Real Estate Partner) and Colm Tobin (Real Estate Solicitor).
