The 2018 Asia AGM took place in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 10-13 October 2018.  Yogyakarta, a city rich with culture and history, is the home of 9th century Mahayana Buddhist temple Borobudur - a UNESCO world heritage and also world’s largest Buddhist archaeological site.

As this is our first time hosting any ADVOC event, we wanted to make sure that we had plenty of time to figure things out to ensure a smooth event.  Not only did we start the preparation several months earlier, we also decided to hire a professional event planner to do part of the heavy lifting.

I must say that I enjoyed every minute organizing it and am quite excited to learn that I actually have a hidden skill, event planning!   Most importantly, the event went smoothly with only minimal hiccups.

Despite the location and distance, the event still drew a good number of attendances. We appreciated the effort made by all and would like to once again thank all of you that came to Yogyakarta and made the AGM very successful.

See you all soon in Moscow!
