Colin Biggers & Paisley has announced 14 senior appointments since June of this year. The majority of these appointments have been within its insurance practice and half of the appointments are women.

 

The practice has appointed two Partners to it corporate and commercial team. Toby Norgate in Melbourne who has a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, financial services and franchising, and Michael Bracken in Sydney who has an extensive corporate advisory, transaction and regulatory practice with a particular focus on financial services, banking and payments, insurance, reinsurance, capital markets, health funds and mutuals.

 

Special Counsel appointments to the insurance team and their areas of focus include:

Georgina Wong - public liability personal injury claims

Samala Nancarrow - workers' compensation, public liability personal injury claims, dust diseases and historical abuse claims

Michael Nguyen - primary focus on professional indemnity and general liability

Trevor Ho - financial institutions, directors' and officers' insurance, property, management liability and professional indemnity insurance

 

Other Special Counsel appointments include Lisa Chapman who joins the restructuring and insolvency team, bringing significant experience in restructuring and insolvency and commercial litigation, and Maryanne Ireland who joins the property and development team. Maryanne's experience in the property sector is broad and includes a wide range of transactions and advisory.

 

Senior Associate appointments include Olivera Stojanovska, Alicia Taylor, Mary Kinna, Christopher Harrison and George Williams to the insurance team, and Brooke Gilbey to the commercial litigation team.
