We are very pleased to announce Paulo Valed Perry Filho (pauloperry@siqueiracastro.com.br) as the new partner of Siqueira Castro - Advogados' Labor Department in São Paulo.

Paulo Perry holds a law degree from Santa Úrsula University Law School in Rio de Janeiro. Besides that, Paulo Perry has a postgraduate degree in labour law from Cândido Mendes University in Rio de Janeiro and a postgraduate degree in corporate labour law from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo. With over 20 years of experience serving large companies in the areas of labour and social security law, his focus will be on strategic and high value litigation and legal consulting. For 12 years he was a partner at our Firm, and worked in several of our regional offices. In 2012, he was invited to become a partner at Demarest Advogados, where he worked for three years as head of the strategic labor litigation area. Paulo Perry is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) and author of various books and articles in the area of labour and social security laws.

"We are very happy to welcome Paulo Perry back to our Firm. Our clients and team throughout Brazil already know and admire him for a long time, and his arrival occurs at a very appropriate moment, because the labour practice area has grown substantially due to the economic crisis our country has been unfortunately facing. He will be a huge reinforcement because of his excellence and experience, without mentioning the satisfaction of welcoming back an old friend to our team," says Carlos Fernando Siqueira Castro, partner and chairman of the Firm's Executive Committee.

For the new partner, his return to Siqueira Castro - Advogados represents the conclusion of a professional growth cycle and the concretion of a dream: "I was professionally formed in the Firm and the period I was away was important to experience another culture and gain a new market perspective. I'm very grateful for this. I've matured a lot over the past three years and think I am returning much prepared to perform my duties at Siqueira Castro - Advogados. I am extremely happy to notice that the labor department area has grown in my absence and am looking forward to working with new and old colleagues. It's great to be back home."
