Australia: Cooper Grace Ward managing partner reappointed
Cooper Grace Ward’s managing partner, Chris Ward, has been reappointed to another four year term, which commenced at the beginning of 2014.
Ward has held the reins since 2005, and has indicated that this will be his final term as managing partner.
Currently the partnership is considering a detailed succession plan.
Over the last 12 months, highlights for CGW have been:
Being one of only 19 Australian and New Zealand companies and the only law firm to have been accredited as an Aon Hewitt Best Employer;
Winners of the Queensland Law Society Equity & Diversity Award for 2013;
- To have nine of its lawyers named as best lawyers as voted by their peers the most of any Queensland based law firm.
Over the next four years, Ward sees part of his role working through a succession and transition plan but also to continue to build upon the solid foundations already created ensuring the firm’s ability to deliver great service and commercially focused expert legal advice to an increasingly complex legal market place.
