Unexo, the private equity subsidiary of nine Crédit Agricole de l'Ouest Regional Banks, has just finalised the acquisition of a minority stake in La Compagnie du Catamaran.

This acquisition aims to support the development of the Fontaine-Pajot Group, the number two French yachting company, of which the Compagnie du Catamaran is the controlling holding company. The group owns two emblematic brands. Firstly, Founaine Pajot, which designs and manufactures top-of-the-range cruising catamarans. Since 2018, the group has also owned Dutour Yachts, which designs, produces and markets premium monohull yachts.

The Fountaine-Pajot group has a turnover of €173 million and employs more than 1,300 people based in La Rochelle in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

Accompanied by Cornet Vincent Ségurel (Arthur Pierret, partner), Unexo is acquiring a stake in the holding company by acquiring shares previously held by Arkéa Capital, which acquired a stake in Compagnie du Catamaran last November and is selling a minority share of its investment to UNEXO.
