On 11 & 12 April 2019 Boels Zanders welcomed Advoc colleagues of the real estate and employment law Practice Groups in Eindhoven for their annual conferences.

The topic of the real estate conference was: New business sectors or events as a driving force for orientated area development. A recipe for success?

The Advoc employment law specialists discussed several topics such as: structuring the Practice Group, Brexit, platform workers and the challenges and experiences of the International Mobility practice.

After a warm welcome at Boels Zanders' Eindhoven office on 11 April all Advoc colleagues started their conferences on Friday in the former Philips light bulb factory. Situated in the center of Eindhoven "De Lichtfabriek" was an inspiring location for both conference groups with several expert speakers as Saskia Montebovi (Tilburg Law University), Maurice Lambriex (Brightlands Chemelot Campus), Fancy van der Vorst (Eindhoven Brainport development) and Piotr Llorens (urban planner, Gdansk Poland).

The afternoon started with a visit to High Tech Campus Eindhoven. Situated in the center of Brainport it is known as the Dutch Silicon Valley with international companies as ASML, Philips, TomTom, Shimano, Huawei, Intel and Texas Instruments. At the High Tech Campus conference center both groups continued their meetings with a presentation about the campus development. Afterwards several real estate and employment law topics were discussed in smaller groups.

Natasa Iakovou from LD Law also attended the conference and discussed challenges and experiences of the international mobility practice, which was one of the topics covered.

We would like to thank all Advoc participants for their enthusiasm and contribution. We believe both conferences were a great success.
