São Paulo - Siqueira Castro - Advogados has been appointed as legal counsel to Queiroz Galvão Energia Renováveis in its first venture in the clean energy industry, in the Northeast of Brazil.

As published on O Valor Economico (August 6th, 2012) Queiroz Galvão intends to invest around R$ 3 billion in the wind power sector by the year 2016 and to became one of the five major independent clean energy supplier.

Siqueira Castro – Advogados has been hired by Queiroz Galvão due to its large experience in advising its clients in infrastructure projects, as well due to the fact that the firm has a local presence in the Northeast of Brazil.

Investments in renewable energy seem to be a trend among the major Brazilian construction companies, as Camargo Correa and Odebrecht.are also investing in wind power plants.
