Practice Group Updates:

During the last ADVOC Europe AGM on Saturday May 7, between 2.00 and 4.00 p.m. at the Grand Hotel, Sofia, Bulgaria, the following practice group meetings took place:

Corporate Finance, IP IT& Technology, Real Estate, Labor Employment and Business Immigration, Tax.

Among the actions agreed during the meetings, it is worth mentioning the following:

  • The Corporate Finance group recommended to consider the name change of the practice group into 'Corporate, M&A and Corporate Finance' to make clear it is for corporate matters.
  • The Corporate Finance Group discussed on a combined Corporate & Banking webinar of ADVOC: members reviewing specialist issues of topic of interest to be then recorded in a short brochure evidencing the lawyers’ expertise on those issues across the participating jurisdiction.   • The Real Estate group discussed, among other,  on the possible venue and on the possible topics of the 3rd Real Estate Conference: Joern Brockhuis of BSJP proposed to hold the conference in Warsaw during the first two weeks of April 2017. The possible topics mentioned during the meeting and still to be better evaluated could be linked to the investments in the hospitality sector as well as in the infrastructures.
